Using an innovative technique called needle punch felting, the California-born, London-trained designer seamlessly blended archive Woolrich fabrics—grungy plaids, subtle grey suiting, and Aran knits—into staggeringly cool, flawlessly constructed pieces. San Diego native Shaun Samson reworks the grungy streetwear shapes of his So-Cal childhood with staggering craftsmanship (honed at London's Central Saint Martins and seasoned by a stint at Jeremy Scott!). Using a little-known technique called needle punch felting, Shaun seamlessly blends fabrics by hand in his East London studio. Oversized tees in bright Mexican textiles and heritage plaids have rightfully won Shaun a following among critics and cool kids alike.
