J.W.Anderson’s fall collection is an exercise in off-kilter elegance. Pieces like a silk paisley shirt with a stiff white collar or a floor-length kilt have an understated polish. At the same time, the collection’s layering is a lesson in do-I-look-like-I-care dressing. Inspired by Granny Anderson’s habit of wearing pinafores over her track pants, trousers come with attached faux-skirts, and grungy mohair knits are designed to be slung around waists.
