Incorporating elements from urban tribes has become one of KTZ’s trademarks. As the designers explain, the cult label “has always been about a tribe of people who think a little differently.” But Spring/Summer 2012 takes it to another level and another continent, exploring the bright colors and beadwork of Africa’s Masai people. Graphic prints of layered necklaces pop on tanks and harem shorts, and a cut-out baseball cap glistens with hundreds of tiny glass beads. Punk-inspired accessories, like a fanny pack criss-crossed with leather harness straps, keep the collection super youthful and as surprising as ever.

Much like Opening Ceremony, Kokon to Zai (or ) started out as a small, selective hub where Londoners looked to find phenomenal designers that were obscure, under-represented, or otherwise out-of-reach. Since launching an in-house label in 2005, founders Marjan Pejoski and Sasko Besovski continue to enhance the marvel and intrigue of , delivering print-covered, brightly colored, architecturally adventurous men's and womenswear that, season after season, never fails to mesmerize.
