Maria Pryor is the Tim Burton of Argentinian couture; gothic velvet gowns, chainmail, and ethereal applique dresses seem to come from some weird and wonderful place in her imagination. As soon as we walked into the designer’s private Buenos Aires store, we knew there was something magical in the air. Most of Maria’s designs have never been seen outside of the country and, as if that weren’t enough, each one has been scented with Maria’s perfume, which smells something like rose petals.
