No two Growing necklaces are alike. Handmade by Austin-based designer Christy Curcuru, each piece is formed from a unique combination of multicolor plastic beads, cotton yarn, and stones. This season, strings of luminous Perler beads (the little plastic cylinders you ironed into shapes during arts and crafts class) mix with hand-moulded salt stones to create pieces that blend Mayan mysticism with Native American crafts and childhood nostalgia.
