Barbour jackets are as English as spaniels, tea time, and bad weather and their durability is the stuff of legends. Barbour’s waxed cotton exteriors and wool linings have protected submarine commandos, motorcycle drivers, and country-dwellers since 1894. They’ve also found an unexpected fanbase in modish East Londoners. As always, Barbour is adapting to its changing customer, providing fresh takes on old classics for a new generation.

BARBOUR x TOKITO
Passport: UK
Established: 2008 by Barbour & Tokihito Yoshida
It's hard to improve on a company that holds royal warrants from Queen Elizabeth II, the Duke of Edinburgh, and the Prince of Wales, but Barbour's collaboration with Japanese designer Tokihito Yoshida has managed to do the unthinkable. Inspired by Barbour's extensive archive that dates back to 1908, Yoshida updates the classics with clever details that focus on utility and streamlined design.
