Dressed like an Amazon or an alien, the Mugler woman is fierce with a capital F. As founder Thierry Mugler put it, the Paris-based line runs on "Fantasy, Fetish, and Fashion." Thierry began designing womenswear in the early 70s, taking a wide-angle approach: in the 90s he transitioned into couture and in 2009 he created 58 stage outfits for Beyoncé. Now helmed by Lady Gaga collaborator Nicola Formichetti, the house branched into menswear in 2011 and continues to dazzle with its legendary showmanship.
