Like a lot of knitting enthusiasts, Nathalie Bouhana and David Sdika, the Belgian couple behind knitwear label Chauncey, are softly spoken and totally dedicated to their craft—which they compare to architecture, referencing the idea of making something out of nothing but natural materials and traditional savoir faire. For Spring/Summer 2012, the results were geared towards breathability and lightness. Natural cottons are spun into loosely stitched rib-knit cardigans and finely striped polo shirts.

Hermès and Gaultier, Nathalie Bouhana teamed up with photographer David Sdika to create a line of high-quality knitwear. The Brussels-based duo have produced a line that packs a healthy dose of minimalism with "a slice of Belgian surrealism." From lightweight open-stitch cashmere sweaters to cubist jacquard cardigans, Chauncey's knits are always striking, super-soft, and crafted from the most superior yarns.
