Billykirk isn’t setting out to reinvent the wheel, they just want to make the one with the most mileage. Mileage for durability and style alike. To assure the former, the American brand employs Amish leather crafters to hand-work their domestic and Italian leather goods. They treat the leathers with vegetable dyes – ideal both for the way the dye wears well with age as well as for the fact that it’s more environmentally conscious than standard chrome dying - and then hand coat them with natural oils and beeswax. For Opening Ceremony, Billykirk created exclusive colorways of their standards: like, messenger-style bags and carryalls as well as key fobs and card cases.
The line is first available at Opening Ceremony Tokyo.
