In celebration of the 30th anniversary of her label, Betsey Johnson has partnered with Opening Ceremony to resurrect a selection of her classic archived looks. The 35-piece collection pulls designs from the legendary designer’s eponymous label, as well as her first lines, Alley Cat, and Paraphernalia. Few designers can boast the ability to revive looks just as they produced them decades earlier, but the designs featured in this collection are as fresh and relevant as when they first appeared. Among an array of textured black pieces are Johnson’s signature cherry print, snakeskin, and floral shaped into peplum skirts and mini dresses, and fastened with lace-ups and exposed zippers to recall the designer at her finest.
Shot by Sebastian Kim, styled by Alastair McKimm, and modeled by Natasa V, the look book does a killer job of presenting the energy and sensibility of the collection. Check out the full look book and outtakes from the shoot below.
