Necessity is the mother of invention, and K-Swiss knows it just as much as anyone else does. Exclusive to Opening Ceremony for the month, K-Swiss is bringing back the shoe that started it all: The K-Swiss Classic.  The shoe was developed in 1966 by two Swiss brothers who moved to California and wanted to swap their penchant for skiing to one for tennis. The problem: they couldn't find a decent tennis shoe. So, they made something to get them in the game.

 

 

What came after? A debut at Wimbledon that made the shoe an overnight success and gave it a place in the history books as a breakthrough in athletic footwear. The new re-mastered lightweight version of the classic has got all the workings of the original, but with even better leather and a more comfortable fit.
