Toilet Paper magazine
's imagery––punchy, rich, highly produced, and bordering on the Surrealist––is delectable however it's served up. Founded as a passion project in June 2010 by Maurizio Cattelan
, Pierpaolo Ferrari, and Micol Talso (all world-renowned creative geniuses in their own right), the magazine is an image-based publication with a clear aesthetic: juxtaposing simplicity with graphic visions to create discomfort. Like "I love you" spelled out with a knife ("I"), a human heart ("love"), and a horseshoe ("you") set against a blood-splattered white canvas. Or a disembodied hand with a finger dripping blood with the consistency of shiny, deep red molasses. The result is simultaneously stunning and disturbing imagery, and it's totally brilliant. The historic Italian housewares brand must have also gotten the memo, because it paired up with the magazine to create Seletti Wears Toilet Paper
, a collection of dishes with Toilet Paper's most iconic imagery, now available at OC!
