Rob Pruitt Blogs Live at Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony Pre-Spring 2011 Presentation!

For Chloe Sevigny’s Reds book that accompanied her Fall 2009 collection, she asked one of our favorite artists, Rob Pruitt, to submit an original work inspired by red hair. What he brought to the table was roughly 40 photos taken with his iPhone, all featuring his selection of red things. Reflecting on this series, and his epic 2008 piece, iPhone, at Gavin Brown’s Enterprise (in which he covered the space from the inside out with his own iPhone photos -- “one long Muybridge sequence, or more apropos, like a comic book of my life,” as he puts it), we couldn’t think of a more experienced and apt photographer to live-blog today’s Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony Pre-Spring 2011 presentation.
