Like Ikea, Ace of Base, Acne, the chef from the old Muppet Show, and the word ‘smorgasbord’, Intermission Magazine is the next in a line of great things to come out of Sweden. Clearly the Swedes know how to bring attention to a good thing (like March 25th aka Våfflor Day aka Waffle Day - a holiday just for waffles), and have chosen a venerable list of features for their premier Swedish issue. Created by Daniel Magnussen, formerly of HE Magazine, Issue 1 covers the likes of Pamela Love, Scott Sternberg, Patrik Ervell, and, oh yeah, us. A few months ago we took a class photo outside our Howard Street store to go with Humberto’s interview found inside. While this issue is exclusively written in Swedish, issue 2 (out in June) promises to include English translations of some of their interviews. Also appreciated are the dual covers – one featuring Julia Restin Roitfeld, and the other featuring Sara Blomqvist. Check it/us out!
