US Marine uniforms inspired Nicola Formichetti and Romain Kremer's latest Mugler menswear collection (their fourth to date). But you could also file this one under Star Trek, superheroes, and eveningwear. In keeping with the Parisian powerhouse's aesthetic, the duo put a space-age spin on the military theme. While the collection's shapes are down-to-earth—pullovers, jeans, and button-downs—the construction is out of this world. Ribbed panels cut across the shoulders of a raglan-sleeve sweater and there's a mockneck pullover made from a structured meshlike knit. Even the top button of a streamlined evening shirt is shaped like the brand's signature star. Live long and prosper, new-era Mugler!
