Tiffany, the NYC-based designer behind the line (and friend of Carol and Humberto!), creates hand-knitted alpaca wool pieces in a range of warm, autumnal colors (my favorite is called "almond baby Suri"!). Rivaling these guys for softness are Wommelsdorff's cashmere-blend hats. Made in Berlin, each beanie is knitted under the careful supervision of designer Anne Schramm's grandmother. And Nigel Cabourn's rib-knit hats are just as authentic. Designed in a shed at the bottom of his garden in the North of England, the beanies come in subtle, muted colors and nail that perfect, elongated, beanie shape.
