At Ease: Lou Dalton Fall/Winter & Exclusive Lou Dalton for OC!
Even before I knew Lou Dalton was inspired by vintage military uniforms this season, I pictured her Fall/Winter guy walking up to a porch Pearl Harbor-style, kit bag over shoulder. Whether it's the high neck of its sweaters or the length of its pants, the collection's details all suggest cute G.I.s on leave. But Lou actually had something more punky in mind. The pants of her sharply suit were cut short to make room for Dr. Martens. And, in keeping with the brand's spirit and hometown, the guy is almost definitely from London. Baby blue knits look great with rolled-up blue jeans, and the shearling-collar jacket came down the runway thrown casually over the top. This season, Lou also made an exclusive line of menswear specially for OC. To toast our new London store, the designer riffed on her favorite pieces to create a zipper-heavy wardrobe of tailored basics.
