Put your hands in the air! Art handlers Victor de Matha, Daniel Finch, and Luke Turner have hijacked Jack Shainman's gallery in Chelsea in the name of global labor. From August 2nd to September 1st, art dealing with work conditions around the world by Anthony Campuzano, Bessma Khalaf, Esperanza Mayobre, Chris Mottalini, Odili Donald Odita, Mariah Robertson, Tyler Rowland, and agnès b. protégé Malick Sidibé will be on display. The exhibit is the result of a tongue-and-cheek e-mail the handlers sent to Shainman earlier this year, declaring the occupation that the gallery owner would soon become hostage to.
