Everybody knows that when you're dining for a good cause, you digest your food better. That's why we love Downtown for Democracy's new series of foodie fundraisers, Dining for Democracy. Dining for Democracy, a PAC founded in 2003 to engage the creative community in all things political, recently released a Pocket Guide to Politics with OC friends OHWOW Gallery. Now they're back with five summer dinners boasting a roster of who's-who in the worlds of food and politics.

Want a seat at an intimate dinner in Brendan Dugan's (of KARMA) idyllic Brooklyn backyard while Mario Batali cooks you guinea fowl right before your eyes? Or hear former Fader editor turned MSNBC host Alex Wagner opine on all things political? Oh, and did we mention there's a three-course dessert dinner baked by pastry chefs from Le Bernadin, Del Posto, and Momofuku? We'll see you there!
