Last Saturday, the DJ duo Rub N Tug (Eric Duncan and Thomas Bullock) curated a show at White Columns titled DO YOUR THING. As the former DJs of Gavin Brown's now defunct bar Passerby, they both mourn and cherish the institution's bygone era in their show, with works by OC friends Spencer Sweeney, Ryan McGinley, Dash Snow, Aaron Bondaroff, Dan Colen, Brian DeGraw, Leo Fitzpatrick, Nate Lowman, Lisa Rovner, David Benjamin Sherry, Agathe Snow, and many more. The exhibition is nostalgic, but it also celebrates the past to stimulate the present and challenge the future by re-imagining a new New York nightlife. Check it out before it closes on July 14th!
