East Meets West: When Hester Goes Hollywood
I'm a sucker for any kind of fair: craft fairs, food fairs, even the country bumpkin fairs in my hometown. Rarely does a fair that melds food, crafts, and art in full force come to Los Angeles, let alone to the heart of Hollywood!

Until August 25, the Hester Street Fair is setting up camp right across from the Pantages Theater. Sunday's fair saw food trucks and passionate creatives mingling in the hot sun, where they could fawn over the beautiful flowers straight from Silverlake, smell handmade soaps from Luka (my guilty pleasure), or just sit at one of the picnic tables with a freshly squeezed strawberry lemonade and a delicious lobster roll to recharge for another lap.

There were so many amazing things to take in that it was easy to get overwhelmed, but my friend and I floated along and chatted with the vendors; we had our Awkward Family Photos taken, and I even played guitar at Andy Dick's poetry booth in exchange for a poem! Check out the fair this weekend!
