Argentinean Slang Dictionary - 'Canchero'
by Maria Lee
Stuck in Argentina with nothing but a couple of "Where's the nearest restroom, please" phrases in your vocabulary? Our ARGENTINEAN SLANG BOOK is here to save your trip.

When you meet someone who's chill, friendly, and easy-going in Argentina, there's a word to describe them. Canchero may be related to the word cancha, meaning a sports field or court, but in slang it's used to describe a person who is just plain cool. As in: Humberto Leon es un tipo muy canchero. (Humberto Leon is a very cool guy.)
