Sneaker Freak Meets Sneaker Geek: Introducing Forfex x OC
Maybe you remember the fluffy, faux bunny fur sneaker boots that Forfex created with Terence Koh and OC last year. If you didn't see them here, you may recognize them as Lil Wayne's boots with the fur (and with the slime, thanks to a custom job by Gerlan Jeans' Slime Atelier). This season, OC teamed up with Gio Forbice, the 23-year-old Virgo/Facebook-enthusiast/mastermind behind Forfex, to create our own mini collection of exclusive custom shoes for Spring/Summer 2012.
Our collaboration with Gio began with an e-mail containing wide-ranging visual references: mesh basketball shorts, Tumblr goths, hot-pink latex fetish onesies, weird animal fur, and patched-up vintage bomber jackets. And a few hundred e-mails and WhatsApp messages later, the IRL funky shoes of our dreams arrived, just in time for summer. Made in Italy and sized for both boys and girls, Forfex x OC is now available in stores and online.
