Last night's Ryan McGinley opening at Team Gallery felt part family affair, part mob scene. Truth be told, it made absolute sense. Ryan was showing his newest works, and Atlas Sound (as someone from Team announced on a megaphone) was scheduled to play on the rooftop of the Wooster St. location. Both galleries were packed––if it hadn't been for the band, you could say that the soundtrack of the evening was the polite excuse me's and sorry's going around. Ryan's last opening was so crowded that the cops shut it down altogether. This time, the po-po allowed Atlas Sound a couple of songs before breaking up the party and sending everyone inside. If you haven't already, check out our interview with Ryan!
Both shows run through June 2nd, 2012.
