Rachel Comey claims her new fall/winter 2010 show is meant to deal with “the issue of fall and winter”: those issues being the slush on the back of your legs as you walk, and he seasonal depression that leads to daily rotations of head to toe black ensembles. Seasonal gloom be gone, as Comey’s collection was indeed built to battle the blues. Lace tights and leather socks were put in place to solve the former issue, and a myriad of rich colors and textures take the place of basic black. Just as pleasant as the new collection was the live soundtrack played by our friend Andrew Kuo’s band, Hex Message. Experience the sensuous feast for yourself in our video of the final walk.
