Saturday night, Sam and I headed to the Nuart theater in Santa Monica with some friends to see Marie Losier's touching documentary The Ballad of Genesis and Lady Jaye. Chronicled over seven years, the film shows the unique romantic union between Genesis P-Orridge (lead persona of bands Throbbing Gristle and Psychic TV) and counterpart Lady Jaye, who underwent a series of plastic surgeries to combine their identities––all in the name of love. Following the film, we had the pleasure of hearing Losier herself and THE Genesis P-Orridge take us through their journey together.
