Don't you miss coloring in? And new packs of Crayola markers? And peeling glue off your fingers? Tsumori Chisato’s resort collection reminds me of all the best bits of art class but without the rogue specks of glitter that used to follow you around for the rest of the week.
From tops to socks, the offering is pure, Tsumori-drawn, fun. Marker-bright colors swirl in batik spirals and watercolor stripes, T-shirts pop with neon balloons, and tights are strewn with rainbow flowers, polka dots, stars, and sparkly cats. I was sold at cats, but the queen of kawaii is also a master of elegant silhouettes: airy shift dresses flow in waves of cloud-painted silk.
