Why it's so great: In a world full of iPads, Kindles, and Tamagotchis, it's nice to gift a classic children's book, especially one written and illustrated by the guru artist, Tomi Ungerer. Does anyone else remember these books from their childhood? The Mellops series follows the life and times of the Mellops, a family of pigs. In the Christmas Eve book, the brothers (Casimir, Ferdinand, Isidor, and Felix) get into all sorts of trouble but in the end they're happy as piglets in mud, opening presents and eating cream cake! I can't wait to hang out with my niece Taydyn, and explore the Mellops' land of make-believe together. Merry Christmas, everyone!
