Ask Dars: What Should I Wear to the Björk Concert?

'Ask Dars' is an advice column in which no sartorial dilemma is too big or small for Daria, our lead stylist, to address. Write her with your real-life questions and she'll answer them in the weeks to come! In this installment, OC Headquarters' Bettina gets outfitted for a Björk show!
OK. Got it. You’re seeing Björk in her homeland, so if there were ever a time to pay it, it’s now! But then again, you don’t want to look like that Björk version of the tween who dresses up in the "Oops I Did It Again" uniform to go see Britney in concert, so let’s keep it classy. No swan dresses for you.
I could totally see you in this Peter Jensen Lace dress. The shape is for sure a statement, and the sheerness of the lace gives you even more of an opportunity to make it your own. Remember in the OCTV El Mundo es Tuyo video, when Ben Sturjill styled this sheer pink dress with a pair of torn up denim shorts underneath? That was genius! You can totally pull that scenario here. Except maybe you should go for it with some textured black tights and sleek black leather platforms, since it is Iceland after all. And you may want a bit of height in this all-consuming dress. The Alain Quilici ankle boots you're already wearing today are perfect! No need to go for a new pair.
A basic Opening Ceremony Collection knit bra top gives the perfect amount of coverage under the heavy lace top, and offsets how covered you are down below. It’s subtle yet appropriate, and doesn’t translate as too revealing at all. I think we’ve found ourselves a winner! Let me know how it goes!
RAD! i still remember i met u probably a decade ago... once upon a time. good to see you are doing well.

Do the Alain Quilici Kelov boots run large or small? If I am a narrow 8.5, would you recommend an 8 or a 9?

Hi AM,
The shoes runs slightly small, and we would only recommend sizing up for people in between sizes. So if you're an 8.5, even though you're narrow, your best bet would be a 9. Feel free to e-mail our customer service rep Rae (rae@openingceremony.us) with any other questions!
