Kirkland Bray of Billykirk at Goose Barnacle
Last night I made it out to Brooklyn Heights to check out Kirkland Bray's new art show at the Goose Barnacle. Kirk makes up one half of leather goods maker Billykirk. All of Kirk's works are oil paintings on found canvas and salvaged wood—from small all the way to wall size. Pieces ranged from still life subjects of chairs to abstract patterns. My favorite painting detailed kids from summer camp zip-lining into a lake filled with sharks.
