Between the Lines: RxArt Party 2011
Thursday night is RxArt's annual benefit gala, and this one is going to be amazing! Co-sponsored by CHANEL Beauté, the 2011 RxArt Party is hosted by Jen Brill, Leigh Lezark, Poppy Delevigne, Caroline Sieber and Vanessa Traina. The event will unveil the 3rd volume of the Coloring Book Project, featuring full cover art by OC friend and artist Rob Pruitt, as well as other drawings by many notable artists! The coloring books will be given to children in participating healthcare facilities.
Like the artwork RxArt installs, the coloring book is meant to give the children and their families something new and stimulating to think about. It's another tool to take children to an emotionally less stressful place, and it emphasizes the organization's focus on providing a creative outlet for children confined to the austerity of a hospital room. There will also be an amazing silent auction, with art from OC friends Dan Colen, Leo Fitzpatrick, Nate Lowman, Mike Mills, Miranda July, Tim Barber, and so many more. Plus, CHANEL Beauté created lipsticks in crayon cases to accompany the books – so chic!
