The first marigold-printed dresses in the Rodarte Spring/Summer collection were sent down the runway to the strains of Mazzy Star's 'Fade Into You.' The familiar 90s song brought us back to our collective youth and established a prevailing dreaminess, confirmed by a palette of lilac, gold, and aquamarine. With its references to Vincent Van Gogh's spiraling brushstrokes, as well as the fantasyland of Disney's Sleeping Beauty, the collection entranced. Mirrored silver platform sandal held multicolored beading in the straps, leather pieces were shirred, and shimmery separates belted at the waist. Kate and Laura have once again sent us on a flight of the imagination.
