From Silence to Noise: A Special Reading by Mykki Blanco
Performance and visual artist, poet, downtown sweetheart, it-boy, it-girl, overnight sensation, and now author, Mykki Blanco is on the verge of taking over the galaxy. Born Michael David Quattlebaum Jr., Mykki Blanco is a self-described cross dresser as well as "the black Sailor Moon." Mykki stopped by our studio to play dress up (in JPG, Versus, Jack Greer, and Chloë Sevigny for OC, of course!) and read a few poems from her new book, From the Silence of Duchamp to the Noise Of Boys. I dare you not to fall in love with her cosmic charisma and flair with words.
