Acne Studio's Alex Iezzi in 'Life After Language'
Last night, 'Life After Language: Parsons Illustration Department Senior Show' opened on 16th Street just west of Union Square. Despite the rain, people came in droves to check out the final works from this year's graduating class, among them one of our own, Alexander Iezzi! His show, 'This is Nowhere,' features 95 paintings, video, drawings, and a mural through which he attempts to portray the mind going to war.

Utilizing vintage war photography taken from books and magazines, and drawing on them with ink and gauche, Iezzi’s exhibit culminates in a visceral commentary on History’s vicious cycle—repetition. Other works of his on display feature satirical illustrations (like one of Paula Dean) as well as interactive storyboards and textile illustration. If you have the time, it's definitely worth checking out! It runs through the 23rd of this month.
