More Marlon
Where does one even begin when it comes to Brando? With that famous jawline and the quizzical look that always managed to be piercing and sexy, he nailed the part of the brutish and sexually-charged Stanley Kowalski in Streetcar. He continued to blow audiences away in Viva Zapata, Julius Caesar, The Godfather, Apocalypse Now--the list goes on. The films he starred in with the babes of his day--A Countess from Hong Kong with Sophia Loren, Reflections in a Golden Eye with Liz Taylor (#RIP)--also deserve an honorable mention. The notoriously temperamental actor (whose character was best summed up in the 1957 New Yorker profile by Truman Capote) is probably the only male in the world to have snubbed the Some Like It Hot bombshell Marilyn Monroe, telling her (allegedly) that she "wasn't his type." Today, the film legend would have turned 87. Happy birthday, Marlon! Our gifts, below.
