Why it's so great: Peanuts is primarily a photography book that shows the artist Dan Colen strolling the streets of New York, from the Staten Island Ferry up to Harlem, all the while leaving a trail of peanuts around the city.
The photos give a wonderful portrayal of some of New York's most famous landmarks and areas. They also share with the reader how the artist and his work are directly inspired by New York. Included in the book is the catalog for Colen's 2011 exhibition at the Astrup Fearnley Museum of Modern Art. Colen's paintings are really breathtakingly beautiful. It's a perfect book for art enthusiasts, Dan Colen fans, or simply lovers of our great city.
