Olympia and her favorite pieces. Olympia Le-Tan and her family are a bit like the Parisian Tenenbaums: interesting, creative, and a bit nutty (in the best way). Olympia's book clutches, available at Ace and OCNY, are surprising and lovely, a bit like the girl that makes them. I visited Olympia and her sister Cleo at their studio in a quiet, Japanese corner of the 2nd arrondissment in Paris last week (Cleo and OLT: "It's boring but we love it!" "There's nothing to eat but Asian food!"). The two grew up a few blocks away, with their siblings and dad, celebrated illustrator Pierre Le-Tan. The telephone kept ringing and the sisters wittily gossiped about everyone on the other line, while Olympia showed me a few of her favorite things.
