M Blash offers up the third and final installment in our video series celebrating the grand opening of Opening Ceremony Tokyo. Known for both his commercial work (he's responsible for the video element of Levi's already iconic new campaign), and his indie efforts (namely Lying starring Chloe Sevigny, Jena Malone, and Leelee Sobieski), M was the perfect fit to highlight the exciting debut of our partnership with Pendleton. The brand, which turns 100 years old this year, celebrates the centennial of the flannel shirt with Pendleton meets Opening Ceremony, a continuing collaborative collection that combines the heritage and authenticity of Pendleton with the playful, modern style of Opening Ceremony. Shot near Portland, A.K.A. the heart of Pendleton country, M's film captures the lush and verdant landscape of the Pacific Northwest. A sprightly Jena Malone doubles as a kung-fu-fighting nymph and a dreaming girl, while a stationary Gus Van Sant withstands an assault by a darting wisp of light. We've included the last O.C. Japan video below for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy it as much as we did!
