What makes this book club worthy: During the 80s, Maripol helped run the NYC Downtown scene alongside her friends Basquiat, Keith Haring and Fab Five Freddy, and yet not everyone knows about her?! Responsible for Madonna's lace wedding dress, rubber bangles and crucifixes, Maripol's style and creativity defined a generation and perhaps even a musical genre. Little Red Riding Hood is a collection of her polaroids, designs and musings that gives us an up close and personal insight into the hectic era that was the 80s.
