Since Rose Repetto opened her first boutique for dance shoes on rue de la Paix in 1947, Repettos have become the universal reference for ballerinas and regular folks alike. The French brand's pale pink pointe shoes and practice clothes have always been unparalleled, but it took a free spirit like Brigitte Bardot to bring ballet to the street. La Bardot wore the classic flat that would come to be known as the "BB"-the same style OC girls in New York and Paris still pad around in. Other iconic Repetto wearers include Serge Gainsbourg (never without his Zizi lace-ups) and, surprisingly, the Rolling Stones. We have dug up some of the truly memorable moments in the history of these classic dance shoes.
