When Claudia Schiffer first burst onto the scene in 1989 as one of the original Guess? girls, she became an instantly iconic pin-up with those high-waisted jeans and lace bras. A small-town German girl, Claudia made purity sexy with her cascade of beach blond hair and sultry lower lip. Her status as an übermodel solidified as she became synonymous with Versace, starring in the brand's legendary Avedon campaigns. Along with Cindy, Linda, Naomi, Eva, Nadja, and Christy, she became part of the supermodel era in which catwalk queens held more clout than actresses. From the workout tapes to the cameo appearances (Richie Rich, The Blackout) to the romances (remember when she dated David Copperfield?), growing up in the 1990s pretty much meant growing up with Claudia.  Back then, Karl Lagerfeld said that it was impossible to take a bad picture of her.
