Moya in the hottest little leather number in recent memory.
Lizzy proves that Hakaan is just as good dressed down: she added a structured skirt to her own look.
Eleny in her fave piece: a fur vest straight out of Carine Roitfeld's closet.
Stop hurting me.
This leather jacket with tiny strips needs to be seen up close to be believed.
Nana in a sexy little grey wool dress.
Who knew the OC girls were so girly?
Those that go by their first name only are, as a rule, destined for stardom. Turkish designer Hakaan has proved his potential by winning the 2010 Andam award, which gives winners the backing to expand their business in Paris and show there for Paris fashion week. Winning the ANDAM prize is historically an amazing indicator for success: past winners have included Martin Margiela (1989), Viktor and Rolf (1994), Jeremy Scott (1998/2000) and Giles Deacon (2009). Hakaan, who flourished in London after leaving Turkey, was elected to win the prize by a pretty prestigious jury, which included Carine Roitfeld, Alber Elbaz, Jefferson Hack, Sarah of colette, and our very own Humberto! Hakaan is primed to take Paris by storm this fall, and his fall collection is now available at OCNY and OCLA (and next week online!). Our OCNY girls are pretty psyched on this collection, as you can see by these photos. Lizzy, Moya, Eleny, and Nana picked their favorite pieces and we did an impromptu modeling sesh. There was an embarrassing amount of squealing going on. Stay tuned for an upcoming interview with the designer.
