In a way, Hotel Ermitage could be anywhere, but it just happens to be in Saint-Tropez. And it's a good thing that it does. In a town whose reputation is saturated with visions of head-to-toe white outfits and fat monogrammed wallets, our good friend Andre offers up a space that honors the natural beauty of the Riviera, and reverts to ideas of the minimal glamour that we imagine the town looking like in the Bardot era.

Located in what once was a 19^th century villa, the rooms have been refurbished by the likes of M/M, Christian Louboutin, and Paul and Chloe Sevigny to name a few. Not that Andre needs any help decorating: his curated pieces from the likes of Mathieu Matégot and Ettore Sottsass give the place an unpretentious and unexpected modernism. Though it’s only a five minute walk from the Place des Lices, the hotel is far enough not to step out into tourist chaos, but close enough to not feel like it’s a drag to get where you’re going. But then again, why would you ever want to leave this place?
