Sebastien, the manager at the Ermitage, picked me up at my doorstep. Four star service! Sebastien's Chanel temporary tattoo, one of the several given to the staff by Chanel's creative team during their stay at the hotel the week prior. Here we are. The furniture in the bar and living area is a bit reminiscent of Hotel Amour's. It feels lived in to the point that you don't have to feel stuffy, but it's still perfectly stylized. Photos by Irina Ionesco line the walls. Onto the rooms. ...so many of which have amazing views. Andre's Belvedere suite While the living area makes you feel in your element, the rooms are all whimsical and candy colored, in case you didn't realize you're on vacation. Olivier Zahm's room, duh. I'm obsessed with the washrooms. Kiehl's = the icing on the cake. And then you step outside to find this. After the grand tour, Sebastien took me and some friends out on his boat. I mean why not? Wait why did I leave again? The Ermitage is definitely OC approved!
I'll Take You There: Hotel Ermitage

In a way, Hotel Ermitage could be anywhere, but it just happens to be in Saint-Tropez. And it's a good thing that it does. In a town whose reputation is saturated with visions of head-to-toe white outfits and fat monogrammed wallets, our good friend Andre offers up a space that honors the natural beauty of the Riviera, and reverts to ideas of the minimal glamour that we imagine the town looking like in the Bardot era.

Located in what once was a 19th century villa, the rooms have been refurbished by the likes of M/M, Christian Louboutin, and Paul and Chloe Sevigny to name a few. Not that Andre needs any help decorating: his curated pieces from the likes of Mathieu Matégot and Ettore Sottsass give the place an unpretentious and unexpected modernism. Though it’s only a five minute walk from the Place des Lices, the hotel is far enough not to step out into tourist chaos, but close enough to not feel like it’s a drag to get where you’re going. But then again, why would you ever want to leave this place?

Andre left me in the hands of his main man at the Ermitage, Sebastien, to give me the grand tour. Check it out!
