The buzz around Parisian band SingTank has recently reached a fever pitch. Although as yet unsigned, the group recently had the dubious honor of opening for Pete Doherty in Paris, and has been recording in L.A. and London over the past year. The group is composed of the super-belle Joséphine de la Baume, her brother Alexandre, ex-Scenario Rock drummer Beto Cabrera, and bassist Andrew Woodhead. Beto sent me these sun-bleached photos of their recent recording session in Los Angeles, at Beck's Burbank studio, where four tracks were laid down with legendary producer Nellee Hooper. The studio is filled with precious 60s and 70s instruments, and decor from the same period; it's a total time warp. The band's favorite L.A. spots, after the jump.
